Located within the Greater Kamloops metropolitan area, Downtown Kamloops is a neighbourhood within Kamloops, British Columbia.

Transportation

Downtown is moderately suitable for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without a car, and a variety of businesses are close at hand. This part of Kamloops is also suited for biking. Cars are a very good mode of transportation in Downtown. Many properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, and it is easy to park. On the other hand, this part of the city is not particularly transit friendly. Thankfully, homeowners have access to around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by.

Services

Daycares and schools are straightforward to reach by foot from most houses for sale in Downtown. Regarding eating, it is easy to reach the nearest supermarket as a pedestrian from any location in this part of Kamloops. Moreover, a coffee shop is on average a rather short stroll away, and there are also a limited number of options for those who value nearby restaurants.

Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Downtown, despite its sometimes busy feel. Parks, such as Exhibition Park and Riverside Park, are very well-spread out and there are about 10 of them close by for residents to discover, which makes it easy to access them. Since there are few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city is relatively quiet; however noise levels are higher closer to the airport (Kamloops (Royal Inland Hospital) Heliport) or one of the railway lines.
