Part of the Greater Kelowna metropolitan area, Smith Creek is a neighbourhood within West Kelowna, British Columbia.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Smith Creek. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, this part of the municipality is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. Bicycling is easy in Smith Creek. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are not very well-suited for people who prefer to get around by walking since running daily errands is difficult without the use of a vehicle.

Services

It is a very short stroll to get to daycares from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood. In contrast, there are no primary schools and no high schools in this part of West Kelowna. With respect to eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries.

Character

Smith Creek is a wonderful neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Parks are very well-situated and there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in, making them easy to get to. This part of the municipality is also very quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

The homes in this neighbourhood are very new, since around half of its dwellings were built after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1990s. Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in this neighbourhood. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the properties in Smith Creek whereas the rest are rented. However this neighbourhood is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
