Shannon Lake is a neighbourhood within West Kelowna, British Columbia, which is located in the Greater Kelowna metropolitan area.

Transportation

Shannon Lake is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, Shannon Lake is not an especially pleasant part of West Kelowna for getting around by public transit. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Biking is sometimes challenging in this part of West Kelowna since the cycling network is fairly poor, and riding is made difficult by the typically hilly topography. Shannon Lake is also not very conducive to those who travel by foot because very few common errands can be run without having to use a car.

Services

In this neighbourhood, parents and their kids will usually be able to access primary schools by walking. However, there are no high schools in Shannon Lake. When it comes to food, it is very rarely an option for property owners in this part of the municipality to travel to the closest grocery store on foot.
