Located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Upper Lynn is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Upper Lynn is an extremely good part of District of North Vancouver for travelling by car. It is very convenient to find a place to park. In contrast, getting around by public transit is difficult in this part of the municipality. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very conducive to those who travel by foot since most daily needs are impractical to carry out by walking. The bike is a sometimes poor means of transportation in Upper Lynn because there is a considerable amount of hills, and the cycling network is rather limited.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are convenient to walk to from most houses for sale in this area. However, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools. With respect to food, house buyers in Upper Lynn typically have to turn to a car to purchase their groceries.

Character

The character of Upper Lynn is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. It is very easy to reach green spaces from most locations within the neighbourhood, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in, including Greenbelt and Mountain View Park. This part of the municipality is also very quiet, as the streets tend to be very tranquil.

Housing

Most of the housing growth in Upper Lynn occurred in the 1960s and 1970s. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing many dwellings in this part of the municipality, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Homeowners occupy about 90% of the units in Upper Lynn and 10% are rented. However this neighbourhood is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
