The neighbourhood of Lower West Lynn can be found in the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Travelling by car is especially convenient in Lower West Lynn. Most real estate listings are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very convenient to access a parking spot. However, the public transit network in this area is sometimes poor. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. This area is reasonably cycling-friendly as there are a good number of bike lanes. In contrast, travelling by foot is not very popular in this neighbourhood, despite the fact that carrying out day-to-day needs is convenient.

Services

Parents and their schoolchildren will value that no matter where their home is located in Lower West Lynn, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, there are no high schools in this part of District of North Vancouver. As far as eating is concerned, getting to the closest grocery store on foot is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in Lower West Lynn.

Character

Lower West Lynn is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. There are about 10 green spaces nearby for residents to discover, which makes it very easy to get to them. The noise levels in this part of District of North Vancouver are also quite low, as the streets are generally reasonably tranquil - although there are still several noisier areas, especially closer to Mountain Offramp Highway or Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

In Lower West Lynn, most buildings are single detached homes, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Around half of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around 85% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 15% are renters.
