Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Moodyville is a neighbourhood within City of North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Moodyville is a fairly pleasant part of City of North Vancouver for bike riders. More precisely, there are a good number of bike lanes. It is also easy for pedestrians to navigate this area; many daily errands can be run without a car, and various businesses are reasonably close at hand. Driving is often the favoured way to move around in this neighbourhood. It is easy to come across a parking spot, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway. In contrast, Moodyville is not an especially pleasant part of City of North Vancouver for getting around by public transit. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a rather short stroll away in this part of City of North Vancouver. Moreover, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited variety of coffee shops can be found as well. As far as education is concerned, daycares and schools are convenient to get to on foot from most properties for sale in this neighbourhood.

Character

Moodyville is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. There are about 20 parks close by for residents to relax in and they are very well-distributed, making them very easy to reach. Most areas in this neighbourhood are very quiet, as the streets are very peaceful.

Housing

Duplexes are the predominant housing type, representing around half of buildings in Moodyville, while the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. This part of the city also has a good choice of housing sizes - it is quite easy to find homes ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Homeowners occupy roughly two thirds of the dwellings in the neighbourhood while the rest are rented. This part of City of North Vancouver did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new dwellings in Moodyville was spread throughout multiple decades in recent history.
