Central Lonsdale is a neighbourhood within City of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is reasonably easy to get around in Central Lonsdale. The public transit service in Central Lonsdale is good. For instance, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Central Lonsdale is also a fairly pleasant part of City of North Vancouver for pedestrians; meeting daily needs is easy, and there are also a good number of businesses close by. Cycling is convenient in this area because the bicycling network is reasonably comprehensive.

Services

Daycares and schools are straightforward to reach on foot from anywhere in Central Lonsdale. As far as food is concerned, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in this part of the city. Additionally, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe just around the corner, for instance along Lonsdale Avenue. Property owners benefit from a fair number of nearby clothing stores.

Character

The character of Central Lonsdale is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. This neighbourhood is quiet overall, as the streets are quite calm - although there are still several noisier sections, especially close to Trans-Canada Highway. Lastly, it is very easy to get to parks since there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to enjoy.

Housing

In Central Lonsdale, about half of buildings are small apartment buildings, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses.
