Townline

Located within the Abbotsford - Mission metropolitan area, Townline is a neighbourhood in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Transportation

Commuting by car is very easy in this area. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are reasonably easy to reach from anywhere in Townline, and it is convenient to come across a parking spot. However, this part of the city is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. Townline is suited for cycling because the bicycling infrastructure is good. It is sometimes challenging for pedestrians to navigate this neighbourhood because few daily errands can be run without a vehicle.

Services

It is easy to reach the closest grocery store as a pedestrian in Townline. A limited number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With respect to education, families will appreciate that no matter where their property is situated in Townline, daycares and schools are nearby. Besides public schools, there are private primary and high schools.

Character

Townline offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of the city is especially quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, it is easy to reach green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to check out.

Housing

In Townline, roughly half of buildings are duplexes, while single detached homes make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 70% of the properties in Townline while renters occupy the remainder. Roughly 40% of homes in this part of the city were built in the 1990s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 2000s.
