Lucy Dykhuis

Lucy knows the value of hard work, adaptability, and she works tirelessly for her clients, to ensure they achieve the success they are seeking. Originally from Halifax, Lucy has a deep appreciation for the city where she spent much of her early life. She later had the privilege to travel internationally, live and work in Europe, and explore many other parts of Canada. After graduating from Dalhousie University with a degree in Environmental Sustainability, Lucy spent a season working on a farm in Cape Breton where she fell in love with the rolling hills, white sandy beaches, crystal-clear rivers and of course, the people and community. Eventually she was able to make the move permanent, and Lucy has called Cape Breton home ever since. Lucy realized her passion for real estate when she and her partner, Adam, purchased a 200-year-old house in the Margarees which they renovated and restored without the help of a single contractor. She has since continued to buy and sell properties in the area and is always looking forward to her next project. With over a decade of experience in customer service, Lucy has developed a genuine understanding of how to connect with clients to ensure that their needs are heard, valued, and met. Lucyâs wide range of passions and hobbies, paired with a strong sense of self, allows her to thrive in any situation. She is a professionally trained Sommelier with a love of food and drink, but also enjoys being outside in her rubber boots, tending to her large vegetable garden or cutting flowers to bring to the market.
