Merranda Forbes

Merranda was born and raised in Halifax, NS. Growing up, she bounced between her home life in Sackville and her beloved cottage life in Mahone Bay. She loves to explore the many beauties of Nova Scotia with her husband, kids and pup.At nineteen, she took on a career as a Financial Service Representative, she often got comments from her superiors stating that people her age rarely get jobs of that magnitude especially without a university degree. Merrandas personality and the way she represents herself speaks volumes to her character and professionalism. Being an FSR gave her a vast knowledge of investments and financial growth. Her love for all things mortgages motivated her to purchase her first home at the young age of twenty-one, that was the first of many callings she felt over the years to get into real estate.From there on, she settled down with her husband and became a mom of two boys. Anyone that knows Merranda, would tell you her biggest and proudest accomplishment is her family. During her stay-at-home mom phase, Merranda used her Cosmetology license that she acquired right out of high school to create a successful business as a Nail Technician, a mom by day and business owner by evening!Having a son with Autism gave Merranda a passion for psychology and she needed to learn more. A busy but productive mom of two, and a business owner then took on a Psychology degree. Merranda loved psychology but again could not ignore the calling to pursue real estate, she decided she could no longer shake that feeling and instead of pursuing her degree, she pressed pause and finally turned to real estate. Now that her children are both school age, Merranda is eager to expand her successes and create a business that challenges her competitive nature and supports her professional growth.Merranda is independent, thorough, and a great communicator. She is driven to become a well known, reputable agent in the real estate world.
