Having immigrated to Victoria, BC with his family in 1996 from South Africa has provided Brett with a unique, international outlook. Since then, Brett has lived in various neighbourhoods throughout Victoria, including Saanich East, Uplands, Cordova Bay, and currently Fairfield East. Brett's educational background began at St. Michael’s University School in Victoria. He then went on to pursue his passion for marketing and interest in sales by attending the Haskayne Business School at University of Calgary. Drawn by his love for the West Coast, Brett returned to Victoria to complete his university career at Camosun College, obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing & Communications Management. During this time, Brett participated in the development of several entrepreneurial endeavours, including a small online direct shipping company specializing in selling their own brand of inflatable boats, where he acted as the Sales & Marketing Manager. With the acquisition of his degree and a desire to further his skills and knowledge in the field, Brett joined ACD Systems, an independent digital image editing and management company. Here he found success as Marketing Coordinator and soon after as Marketing Manager. After three years committing his dedicated, honest work-ethic and natural interpersonal skills to the digital marketing world, Brett soon realized that his keen interest in Victoria’s ever-changing real estate market could tie into his skill-set seamlessly. With his sights shifted for his career path, Brett obtained his real estate license and acquired a position at Sotheby’s International Realty. Brett takes advantage of his free time by spending it outdoors where his passions lie. As an avid cold water surfer, a fishing enthusiast, and an owner of a very active Jack Russell, Archie, Brett tries to make the most of his beautiful surroundings on Vancouver Island. Family is also an important part of his life, so he and his partner often spend time with his siblings and parents at their cabin located on Sproat Lake, BC, or at his parent’s home in Mal Pais, Costa Rica.
