You won't find anyone in Haliburton with the history and knowledge of Haliburton and the surrounding areas. He knows the lakes, whether the roads are good, if the slope is going to be too steep etc. which saved us lots of time from visiting properties that wouldn't be suitable. Andrew had an excellent sense of the market and prices of properties and what to bid in order to be successful. We were successful with the second property we bid on and it was due to his advice on what it would take to win the bid with multiple offers involved.
Andrew went the extra mile to not only ensure we had a successful purchase but is also an excellent resource for finding trades and any other support needed following the purchase. He has local knowledge and connections that have assisted us even after our property closed. You cannot go wrong in having Andrew as your agent. He never pushed a property that he did not think was suitable and indicated if it wasn't the right one for us. He was patient and helped us secure a west facing view with a perfect summer sunset on a great lake and we are so grateful that our cottage dreams have come true.

We assume that 'Inspections' refer to showings. Although the showing activity got off to a slow start, it really picked up and became very busy.
Andrew consistently followed up with us to provide feedback in a timely way after all showings ... whether he was the showing agent or other agents showed our house.
The matter of holding Open Houses was discussed with Andrew, and because his rational to not plan on having Open Houses due to the rural location of our property, we agreed with his advice. However, he didn't totally rule that option out. He suggested that we proceed with online , print, and yard sign advertising and wait and see how that combination progressed.
Andrew's response to our emails, texts, and phone calls was consistently prompt. His communications were not long and detailed, but they always provided the information and advice that we had called him about. He was always willing to spend time (either on the phone or coming out to meet with us) helping us understand certain aspects of our particular process.
If what we had contacted him about required action, he immediately contacted and involved the capable administrative team at the office , who followed up with us very promptly. It was great !
Because we trusted Andrew, we were able to be patient and 'stay the course' .
He was also fun and very approachable ... not to mention boisterous at times.
Andrew was the primary realtor from the Granite Realty Group who showed our home. We appreciated all who participated, but because of Andrew's broad and extensive knowledge of the area (having grown up in Haliburton ) we always felt most confident and at ease when he was the showing agent.
The other support staff in both the Minden and Haliburton offices were great to work with... efficient, respectful, professional, and fun.
Lovely people! (all of whom commented to us about how much they enjoyed working for and with Andrew as their boss)
I think that we have already covered most of this in our previous responses throughout this survey.
The bottom line is that Andrew's work ethic and core values were compatible with ours. Without exception, we experienced him to be a person of unwavering integrity.
Of course we understand and respect the reality that getting the best price for a client is also in a realtor's best interest re: commission/income.
However, not once in more than a year of working with Andrew did we ever sense that.
Throughout the entire time , we felt that his #1 priority was providing us with his best service and advice possible... regardless of selling price or commission. He had prepared us from the first time we met, that it would likely take longer to sell our house due to a combination of features.
When we were feeling discouraged at various times , he was patient and he encouraged US to be patient... telling us that it WOULD definitely sell and be someone's "dream home"... but that it was going to take time. Andrew listened to our suggestions and was supportive of the ones that he believed might have some potential... and was honest with us about the ones he believed would be either detrimental or a waste of our time. His advice was always 'on the mark'.
