Tim moved to Chester as a young child, when his father retired from the RCAF and returned to his Nova Scotia roots. An avid sailor; having offshore transport experience from Canada to the USA and back; past P-Class Slope owner (syndicate) and Bluenose Class racing. Tim has a varied background, including several run-ins, in the 70's, with higher education at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design and the Business School at Dalhousie University. Past experiences aside, in 2003 Tim entered the EMBA program at Saint Mary's University (Halifax) and graduated with his MBA along with the Class of 2005! Beginning in 1978, Tim spent a considerable amount of time in Canada's High Arctic working as a Construction Manager for a prominent Montreal engineering firm. His Arctic career spanned eight years with extensive traveling to the Eastern High Arctic. On several occasions Tim's travels took him within 600 miles of the North Pole. In 1986, Tim decided to re-root himself in Chester and started his real estate career in 1988. Tim established T.W Harris & Assoc. Real Estate Limited in 1989. In 1995 Tim changed the name to Tradewinds Realty to better reflect the identity of his growing company. Tim has held a Nova Scotia Brokers License since 1990. Tim is Past Commodore of the Chester Yacht Club, a founding member of the Chester Sailing Society. A past avid runner and prostate cancer survivor. As he is keen to say, "So far, so good".
