Karsa and her husband, David (himself a real estate lawyer), live in the ancestral home in Newburne, in the up-country of Lunenburg County. Truly, the LaHave River runs in her veins. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax (one year spent away at the University of Quebec at Rimouski) and a Hotel Management diploma from George Brown College in Toronto, Karsa has worked in sales and the hotel industry for 13 years. Karsa is active in her church and has been the organist and choir director for many years. She has served three terms as president in the Rotary Club of Bridgewater and District and has served in other board positions since she joined in February 1997. Karsa has a heart for people.
