Wayne moved to Calgary, Alberta from Ontario in 1978. His first sales job in Calgary was in the engineering department of a major construction company, where he worked his way up through sales, to management, then finally ending up running the engineering department. Not seeing an opportunity for further advancement, in 1989 he decided to give residential real estate sales a try. Combined with his background in residential construction and neighbourhood design throughout Calgary, he quickly found success and decided this was the right career for him. Throughout Wayne's career he has always set high goals and has achieved many top level awards in the Real Estate Industry. Wayne was always self motivated and when he first arrived in Calgary in 1978 he heard about a Learn to Ski program for persons with disabilities at Canada Olympic Park and decided to give it a try. His competitive edge propelled him to become a member of the Canadian Disabled Ski Team by December of 1981. He went on to earn 10 international medals, including a World Championship gold in 1986 and silver and bronze medals at the 1984 Para-Olympic Games, he also won 13 gold medals at Canadian Championships . Wayne now resides in Cochrane, Alberta with his wife, Terry, they have 3 grown children and 4 grandsons. Wayne enjoys spending his free time skiing, golfing and cycling, as well as his hobby of landscape and wildlife photography.
