Taylor

Part of the Greater Medicine Hat metropolitan area, Taylor is a neighbourhood within Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Transportation

Cars are a great means of transportation in Taylor. Many real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and coming across a place to park is easy. In contrast, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. A majority of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not very conducive to walking as few daily needs can be met on foot. On the other hand, Taylor is reasonably cycling-friendly since there are a limited number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists.

Services

Parents and their kids will find that wherever their property is located in this part of the city, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. However, there are only a very small number of daycares and thus they can be a very long walk away. As far as eating is concerned, a car is generally required in Taylor to reach the closest supermarket.

Character

Taylor is very good for those who need quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

In Taylor, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the properties are mainly townhouses. However this area is especially good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 95% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. This part of the city experienced its main building boom between 1990 and 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period.
