Situated within the Greater Calgary metropolitan area, Signal Hill is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta.

Transportation

Driving is a reasonably good medium of transportation in this part of the city. It is straightforward to park. In contrast, this area is not particularly transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is Sirocco Station with access to the Blue Line - Saddletowne/69 Street CTrain. Property owners have access to approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this area, even though running daily errands is convenient by walking. In contrast, this part of the city is reasonably conducive to cycling as Signal Hill features a good bicycling infrastructure.

Services

There are only a limited number of primary schools in Signal Hill and therefore they can be a long walk away. In addition, this part of Calgary does not contain any high schools. Moreover, parents and their children may consider it very hard to get to daycares on foot. In terms of eating, in vast majority cases, a vehicle is needed in Signal Hill to reach the closest supermarket. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally convenient to access on foot and provide some staple foods. A limited variety of restaurants and cafes is available as well.

Character

A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood happened in the 1990s. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
