The neighbourhood of Riverbend is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. Most properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, the public transit system in this part of Calgary is fairly poor. Thankfully, property owners benefit from around 10 bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in this neighbourhood as the cycling infrastructure is quite extensive. Riverbend is not especially convenient for those who travel by foot because many day-to-day needs are sometimes difficult to meet without having to resort to a vehicle.

Services

Getting to the closest grocery store on foot is an option for some, but not all, home buyers in Riverbend. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. Regarding education, primary schools and daycares are easy to access on foot from most properties for sale in Riverbend. In contrast, this neighbourhood does not contain any high schools.
