Livingston

The neighbourhood of Livingston is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and most of the street network is built for cars. On the other hand, the public transit system in this area is not very practical. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Moving around by bicycle is at times difficult in Livingston because the cycling network is somewhat poor, and there are a good number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Walking is also not very practical for residents in Livingston because most daily needs are inconvenient to carry out on foot.

Services

There are only a limited number of primary schools in Livingston and accordingly they can be a rather long walk away. Additionally, this area does not have any high schools. Moreover, daycares are not plentiful and consequently not always within walking distance. When it comes to eating, in all cases, a vehicle is required in this part of Calgary to reach the nearest supermarket.
