The neighbourhood of Kingsland is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is quite simple to get around in Kingsland. Travelling on foot is practical for property owners in this part of the city; carrying out day-to-day needs is easy, and a variety of businesses are reasonably nearby. Kingsland is also quite amenable to bicycling. With Heritage Station with access to the Red Line - Somerset - Bridlewood/Tuscany CTrain, and about 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit system in Kingsland is fairly good. Driving is also a good transportation option in this part of the city. It is easy to park.

Services

Getting to the nearest supermarket on foot is possible for some, but not all, house buyers in Kingsland. There are also approximately 10 restaurants and cafes in this neighbourhood. Character

Kingsland is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. This part of the city is quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Housing

About two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters whereas owners occupy the remainder. In this part of the city, roughly one third of dwellings are small apartment buildings, while the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. Around 45% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This area offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes.
