The neighbourhood of Beltline is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Homeowners in Beltline are provided with several options to travel without using a car. Beltline features a reasonably good transit network due to Victoria Park / Stampede Station on the Red Line - Somerset - Bridlewood/Tuscany CTrain, and about 20 nearby bus lines. Beltline is also an extraordinarily convenient part of Calgary for pedestrians; most daily needs are especially convenient to carry out without a vehicle, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Beltline will appeal to physically active house buyers because it is moderately suitable for biking. More precisely, there are a fair number of bike lanes, and bicycling is made easier by the generally flat terrain.

Housing

Roughly half of homes in Beltline were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. The sizeable percentage of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character.
