Gateway

Part of the Grande Prairie metropolitan area, Gateway is a neighbourhood within Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Transportation

Cars are a great transportation option in Gateway. It is very easy to park, and it is a very short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this area. On the other hand, Gateway is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Travelling by foot is not very common in Gateway, even though many daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. In contrast, cycling is easy in Gateway since there are a limited number of slopes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling infrastructure is good.

Services

Daycares are easy to get to on foot from most homes for sale in this part of Grande Prairie. However, this area does not have any primary schools or high schools. Concerning eating, the closest supermarket in this area is usually only a short walk away. Likewise, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe just around the corner, for example along Westgate Drive. It is also a reasonably short distance to a decent variety of clothing stores, for instance on 109 Street.
