There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Gorman, although many common errands can be run without having to resort to a car. On the other hand, this area is quite appropriate for bicycling since there are a limited number of hills for cyclists to brave, and Gorman is home to a fairly good cycling infrastructure.

In terms of eating, it is very rarely practical for home buyers in this part of the city to travel to the nearest grocery store by walking. There are also a few restaurants in Gorman.

Character

Gorman is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Most areas in this area are reasonably quiet, as the streets are quite tranquil. Finally, although Gorman is not home to any parks, public green spaces are especially well-spread out in nearby neighbourhoods, which makes it easy to access them.

Housing

Nearly 175% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in this part of Edmonton. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era.
