Elsinore

The neighbourhood of Elsinore can be found in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Elsinore is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway. However, Elsinore is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. The bicycle is a good method of transportation in Elsinore since there are a fair number of bike lanes, and there are not many elevation changes to challenge cyclists. Travelling on foot is not very practical for house buyers in this neighbourhood as running common errands is sometimes difficult on foot.

Services

Elsinore does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, it can be very hard to reach daycares as a pedestrian. As far as food is concerned, property owners in Elsinore generally have to turn to a car to access the nearest supermarket.

Character

The character of Elsinore is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. This area is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, green spaces, like Elsinore Chambery Park, are especially well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, making it easy to access them.

Housing

Roughly half of properties in Elsinore were built in the 1990s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 2000s. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood and 5% are rented. This part of Edmonton also has quite a good choice of housing sizes - there is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this neighbourhood.
