Chambery

The neighbourhood of Chambery is part of the city of Edmonton, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is an extremely convenient part of Edmonton for travelling by car. It is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway from any home in this area, and it is straightforward to access a parking spot. However, Chambery is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very practical for property owners in Chambery since very few common errands can be run without the need to get in a vehicle. Despite the fact that there are a limited number of hills for cyclists to brave, biking is also occasionally challenging in Chambery as the cycling network is not particularly extensive.

Services

Chambery does not have any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, there are only a very small number of daycares and thus they can be a very long walk away. Concerning food, house buyers in this neighbourhood usually have to rely on a vehicle to access the closest supermarket.

Character

Chambery is a great neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm ambience. This part of Edmonton is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, although Chambery is not home to any public green spaces, parks are especially well-situated in nearby neighbourhoods, which makes it easy to reach them.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about 80% of dwellings in Chambery, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This part of Edmonton is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 80% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. This part of Edmonton experienced its largest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available housing stock is from this era.
