The neighbourhood of Sunnyside can be found in the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is moderately straightforward to move around in Sunnyside. This area features fairly good public transit. The nearest rapid transit station, including Sunnyside Station on the Red Line - Somerset - Bridlewood/Tuscany CTrain, is typically very close by from the bulk of residences in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically around the corner. Sunnyside is also moderately well-suited for pedestrians; most daily errands can be run without a vehicle, and numerous businesses are fairly close by. This neighbourhood is a very pleasant part of Calgary for bike riders. More specifically, much of the terrain is relatively flat, and there are numerous bike lanes.

Services

In this neighbourhood, families will almost always be able to access primary schools and daycares as pedestrians. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Sunnyside. When it comes to food, house buyers in this part of Calgary will value that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away. Additionally, there is usually a restaurant or cafe just around the corner.

Character

The character of Sunnyside is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Parks are especially well-situated and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to check out, making it very easy to reach them. This part of Calgary is also wonderful for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.
