On the other hand, Belvedere is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. It is difficult for pedestrians to navigate Belvedere because few common errands can be run without the use of a car. The bike is a somewhat poor mode of transportation in Belvedere because there are a fair number of hills to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is not very extensive.

Services

Regarding eating, getting to the closest grocery store on foot is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in Belvedere. There are also a few opportunities for those who care about restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

There is a wide variety of green spaces in Belvedere. It is easy to get to green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out. This part of Calgary remains relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of very few pedestrians.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing most dwellings in Belvedere, whereas the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. The buildings in this neighbourhood are very modern, since about one third of its dwellings were built in the 1990s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 2000s. This part of Calgary also has a good selection of unit sizes - it is quite easy to find houses ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly 60% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder.
