Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Duberger-Les Saules. It is straightforward to park, and it is a very short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Charest, from anywhere in this area. However, Duberger-Les Saules is not an especially pleasant part of Québec for travelling by public transit. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by about 30 bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Getting around by bicycle is convenient in Duberger-Les Saules since there are a limited number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists. However, walking is not very popular in this area, although meeting day-to-day needs is convenient.

Services

It is convenient to get to the nearest supermarket on foot from most homes for sale in Duberger-Les Saules. A limited selection of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With regards to education, families will find that wherever their property is situated in this area, primary schools and daycares are close by. On the other hand, it can be very difficult to reach high schools on foot. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.

Character

The character of Duberger-Les Saules is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. This neighbourhood is very quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several noisier areas, especially near Autoroute Félix-Leclerc, Autoroute Henri-IV or one of the railway lines. Finally, it is easy to get to public green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to discover.

Housing

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing roughly half of buildings in Duberger-Les Saules, and the rest are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. About 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
