The urban village of Des Vallées can be found in the city of Gatineau, Quebec, which is situated in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.

Transportation

Des Vallées is especially car friendly. Parking is quite easy, and the majority of homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute de l'Outaouais. However, the public transit network in Des Vallées is fairly poor. Nonetheless, the urban village is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. Many of the homes for sale in this part of Gatineau are located in places that are not very conducive to walking as carrying out daily needs is impractical on foot. Moving around by bicycle is also occasionally challenging in Des Vallées since there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Des Vallées. Furthermore, it can be very hard to walk to daycares from houses for sale in this urban village. Concerning food, a car is generally needed in this area to access the nearest grocery store.
