Transportation

This part of Montréal will attract homeowners that appreciate a diversity of modes of transportation. Most homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are very well-suited for walking; running common errands is very easy on foot, and many businesses of different types can be found as well. Although there is always a bike-share station nearby, this area is not especially bicycling-friendly as the cycling network is quite poor, and cyclists encounter a significant amount of slopes. The public transit system in Shaughnessy Village is especially practical. More specifically, rapid transit stations, such as Guy-Concordia Station and Atwater Station on the Green Line, are not very far from the bulk of properties in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is served by approximately 20 bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Cars are also a reasonably good medium of transportation in Shaughnessy Village. Many homes for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute Ville-Marie.

Greenery is reasonably prominent in this area as there are numerous tree-lined streets. It is very easy to get to green spaces since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing the vast majority of dwellings in Shaughnessy Village, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings.
