Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is very easy to travel in Little Burgundy. Little Burgundy benefits from a great public transit network due to Georges-Vanier Station on the Ligne 2 - Orange, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines. Little Burgundy is also an extraordinarily pleasant part of Montréal for pedestrians; running daily errands is very easy without a car, and numerous businesses of different types can be found as well. Cycling is reasonably adopted in this neighbourhood because there is generally a bike-share station nearby, there are few hills in much of the terrain to challenge bicycle riders, and there are a fair number of bike lanes.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short trip away in this neighbourhood. Likewise, thanks to about 20 restaurants and a few coffee shops, this part of the city is a very good area in which to go out to eat. When it comes to education, in this area, families will typically be able to get to schools and daycares on foot.

Rue Notre-Dame is among the most animated streets in this neighbourhood. Most areas in Little Burgundy are quiet, as the streets are reasonably calm, however noise can be an issue closer to Autoroute Ville-Marie or one of the railway lines. Greenery is reasonably prominent in this part of Montréal as most streets have fairly good tree coverage. There are approximately 20 green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in and they are very well-spread out, making them very easy to reach from most locations within Little Burgundy.

Housing

In Little Burgundy, many buildings are small apartment buildings, while large apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock.
