Transportation

The car is very often the best method to get around in this part of Québec. It is a very short car ride to the closest highway, such as Autoroute Robert-Bourassa, from any home in Duberger-Les Saules, and it is straightforward to park. However, the transit network in this neighbourhood is not very practical. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by around 30 bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. Walking is not very common in this area, although carrying out daily needs is convenient without a vehicle. However, Duberger-Les Saules is reasonably amenable to bicycling since cyclists do not face significant hills.

Services

It is a rather short walk to access daycares and primary schools from anywhere in Duberger-Les Saules. However, it can be very difficult to get to high schools by foot. In addition to public schools, there are private primary and high schools. With respect to food, it is convenient to reach the closest supermarket without needing to get in a vehicle in Duberger-Les Saules. A limited number of restaurants and cafes are available as well.

Character

Duberger-Les Saules is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. This area is very quiet, as the streets tend to be very tranquil - although that is not the case closer to one of the railway lines, Autoroute Félix-Leclerc or Autoroute Charest. Lastly, numerous locations in the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to public green spaces, including Parc Chauveau, since there are approximately 30 of them close by for residents to discover.

Housing

The split between renters and homeowners is about even. In this part of Québec, roughly half of buildings are small apartment buildings, whereas the remainder are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. About 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the city has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
