Transportation

Downtown offers property owners several alternative methods of transportation. The fairly good public transit access allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. Train stations, such as the Brampton on the Kitchener, are typically a short distance away from most residences in the neighbourhood. There are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner. This area is also a fairly pleasant part of Brampton for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are reasonably close by. This neighbourhood is fairly cycling-friendly.

Services

It is a reasonably short distance to reach daycares and schools from any location in this area. At the primary level, both public and private schools can be found. When it comes to eating, it is especially convenient to reach the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in this part of the city. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited number of cafes can be found as well.

Character

The character of Downtown is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. It is very easy to reach green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to explore. This part of Brampton is also good for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as the streets are usually quite tranquil - although there are still several noisier sections, especially around one of the railway lines.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing around 45% of buildings in Downtown, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes.
