During the American Revolution, Nova Scotia was sometimes referred to as "the 14th American Colony" due to some Nova Scotians wanting to join arms with America in their fight against the British.
Lunenburg, Nova Scotia is the birthplace of the Bluenose, the famous racing schooner featured on the Canadian 10 cent coin.
The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, located in Halifax, features a permanent exhibit about the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
